Whether you stumbled upon my site by accident or you sought it out, you are here! I am Moriah Hernandez, a sophomore at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
I studied at Northern Arizona University for my freshman year of college. It was an unbelievable experience, but I am happy to be at the Cronkite School. It’s my first year in the program, but I feel so content here.
I have been working in the journalism field for the last six and a half years. I discovered my love of writing in the sixth grade by taking an oral communication class oddly enough. Writing speeches every week sparked something inside me. The following year, I started my school newspaper with one of the teachers. From there journalism ran through my blood. I worked on staff at my high school newspaper, the Green Valley InvestiGator, for four years.
Over the course of my journalism career, I have developed a love for the editing process in particular. I plan to spend a few years working as a journalist after graduating. Eventually, I would like to branch out and work as an editor in publishing.
When I’m not writing or editing, you can either find me watching hockey with my family or enamored with a new series on Netflix.
